If you are in New Zealand or the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, it is 3rd June.
If you live in Pitcairn, it is 8th June.
If you live in Australia (except Western Australia), the Queen’s official birthday is between 10th June and14th June.
In Western Australia, the date is 30th September.
In all these places, the Queen’s official birthday is a
public holiday. There is no such public holiday in the United Kingdom.
However, to mark the Queen's official birthday, the King's
Troop Royal Horse Artillery fires a 41-gun salute in Green Park.
Even better, the Honorable Artillery Company fires a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London. This
takes place on June 16th.
The Queen was -
apparently - born on April 21st. However, with so many birthdays, she can
look forward to many presents. Better still, she won't be a year older every time!
