Unit 3: Charity shops

Over to you Annotationen

I'm Andy, Serena's colleague at the charity shop.
A charity shop is a second hand shop.
People give things to the shop.
We all work there for free.
The money from the shop and from our work goes to charity.
Serena works there six hours every week.
She's never late for work and always nice.
I like her. She’s a good person.

Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm Serena's neighbour.
I live in the house next to Serena’s house.
Serena's a good neighbour. We often meet and talk.
She has many friends here and in the United States.
She comes from the States, from Newark, a big city.
Her friends from the States often visit her.
They are singers and writers.
Serena has a big house and they stay here for weeks.
We often have parties in our street.

Of course I know Serena. She's the owner of the First Choice café.
It's next to my bus stop and I often have a cup of coffee there.
Serena and I, we often talk about music.
Serena likes jazz, blues and classical music.
There are many concerts in her café.
She likes loud music, too.
There are often no other people in the café.
Then she listens to very loud music, and she always sings, too.
