Imagine you are directing a science-fiction movie about a monster that is threatening Paris. How can you make this threat seem real to the film's viewers? How can you communicate your vision on the screen?

     gap-fill exercise.
  3. Here are descriptions of three movie scenes. Choose one and decide which cinematic devices (camera work / lighting / sound effects, etc.) as well as locations and settings you would use to achieve the best effect. Discuss your visions with pairs/groups who chose the same scene.
